Hi Tracey, Thank you for such sweet comments! WOW! You have really been in the trenches with caregiving! I know that feeling as well. It’s definitely hard, but it’s also so rewarding and full of joy, isn’t it?

Your advent ideas are wonderful! I love your blog…it is so helpful to those of us taking care of both children and aging and/or ill parents! I grew up with a mother who suffered from Multiple Sclerosis (severely). My dad cared for her at home for over three decades…at first alone, later with blessed help…but always at home. When she passed away a few years ago she left a tremendous hole in our lives…despite the fact that she hadn’t been able to speak for nearly 15 years (due to a permanent trach.) or care for herself in any way. Now, we are helping to care for my husband’s mom who is nearly 87 and in frail health. Thank you for this blog. It’s wonderful knowing we’re not alone.
