Guess what this Friday is! If you guessed April Fools Day, you'd be right. BUT even better than that, and NO fooling at all, it's the begining of the ULTIMATE BLOG PARTY 2011, hosted by 5 Minutes For Mom – one of the top mommy blogs, And YOU are ALL invited! I will definitely be there, with rings on my fingers and bells on my toes. Well, maybe not. Rings might make it tough to type, and bells would definitely aggravate my senor mom, my grandkids, myself, and even a granddog or two. 🙂
BUT, we will be joining in on the fun, and FUN it will be. It's a great opportunity to get to meet other bloggers and find new blogsites of interest to us. While it's somewhat geared towards younger mom and dad blogs, that's great news for us because they often have terrific ideas that make fun and educational activities for grandparents and grandchildren. Not only that, each of the two years I've joined in, I've found plenty of other boomers and seniors joining in, as well. And, of course, I love to share about them right here at SandwichINK throughout the week! 🙂
PLUS they have a massive blog giveaway each time. Last year, my senior mom was thrilled over the cooking magazine subscriptions I won for her. And that's just one of many little and BIG goodies that will be given away. In fact, SandwichINK will again be giving away Amazon gift certificates – one there, and one here. To enter my blog giveaway here, just come on back and make a comment any time between 12:01 a.m. on April 1 and 11:59 p.m. on April 8 (EST). I'll be doing a random drawing for the winner of a $15 Amazon gift certificate. For 5 Minutes for Mom and their Ultimate Blog party prizes, they just updated their site with their prize info – tons of interesting goodies, including a Super Loud Amplicom TCL Alarm Clock for the Hard to Wake being donated by fellow baby boomer site, Still Blonde After All These Years; a very cool sounding card box donated by fellow grandmother, Grammy Girlfriend; and a $50 Amazon gift certificate from another grandmother, Live, Laugh, Love, and Bloggings, not to mention all the terrific goodies for our grandchildren to enjoy.
I hope you'll all join me for this fun blog party. It's perfect for all of us in the Sandwich Generation, busy dealing with the issues of caring for the elderly parents and relatives in our family, while raising children or babysitting grandchildren. We never have to leave our home, the yummy cherry pie has no calories, and there are so many fun sites to see. 🙂
P.S. You don't have to wait til then to enjoy some fun and adorable RED site-seeing, as I'm linking this up to REDnesday – another delightful seasoning for our Sandwich Generation lives. 🙂 Enjoy!
