Peace is the fruit of the Spirit that I have been focusing on this month – as in "Seek peace and pursue it," (I use that Scripture verse a LOT when babysitting grandchildren and they start squabbling.
and as in "And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." I cling to that a LOT when juggling the various Sandwich Generation issues and they don't all fall into place the way I think they should! And as in Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee." (KJV). I love this verse. It's such a good reminder to keep my mind focused on Him, whether through prayer, Bible study throughout the day, or listening to Christian music – especially in the car.
Speaking of Christian music, I heard two songs this week that so encouraged me and filled me with a calming peace during some times when I was really wrestling with frustration and worry. I pray their words and Scriptures of encouragement will lift your spirits as well:
Phillips, Craig & Dean – Great I Am
Casting Crowns, Voice of Truth
My policy when driving in my car – with AND without my grandkids – is to listen to Christian music, classical music, or uplifting stories (or school memory work for them). These two were such a sweet blessing, I've added them to my playlist. As the Casting Crowns song puts it, "I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth " How about you? What Christian songs bring a sense of peace to your heart?

P.S. Thank you so much for your comments. I appreciate them very much and read each one. I also do my best to reply to them all but, as you can imagine, there are times (many times, lately :) ) when caregiving needs do not allow for that. Thank you for your patience and your sweet comments.
