Devotions for Boomers and Seniors: Comforting Bible Verses Full Of Energy

by Kaye Swain

I love these encouraging and comforting Bible verses from Isaiah 40. They seem especially appropriate for those of us caring for the elderly parents in our families, along with raising children or babysitting grandchildren.

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever…

I love the encouraging and comforting Bible verses from Isaiah and enjoyed pairing them with this flower photo from my easy to use digital camera

Do you not know ? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Isaiah 40:8, 28-31

On those days when caregiving duties and concerns leave us feeling exhausted and without strength, meditating on this wonderful news from the Word of God can be such a blessing for all of us boomers and seniors. :)

P.S. Thank you so much for your comments. I enjoy them very much and read each one. I also love the grand ideas so many of you share that help and encourage other readers. I do my best to reply to them all but value your patience when that isn\'t possible.

Blessings Kaye, I love Isaiah 40! You are so right! This WORD is great to SOAK in for His strength when we are weary or in need of His Comfort! Love your heart for both sides of the Sandwich!

I hope you don’t mind but I’m linking this one up to our SONday meme on SOAKING because it’s perfect. It doesn’t have as many as Spiritual Sunday, but it’s a solid, good small group of blessed bloggers! Hope some come to visit and are encouraged! The photo is a fantastic visual of this Word! Glad I scrolled back looking to your WFW! I’m blessed. EnJOY your SONday!

Peace.

Hi Peggy, I don’t mind in the least. Thank you so much for doing that. As you can tell, I’m a tad behind but I’ll head over to visit later this morning. :) Have a blessed weekend in Him. :)
