My granddog has been staying with my senior mom and me for the past few days and we’ve had such a lovely time. He forgot his cute doggy “diaper” bag that his mommy fills with food, treats, and goodies. It’s so cute, I wanted to share it with you but had to go online to get a pix of it. Once there, I discovered they have a pink version as well – perfect for all of us Pink Saturday enthusiasts. Shhhh, don’t tell my granddog I used pink for HIS article. He might be slightly mortified? 🙂
Personally, I would just use the handiest shopping bag in the house. But I have to admit, this does keep things nicely organized and not all jumbled up like mine tend to be. And being organized is always a handy thing for the Sandwich Generation, don’t you think? Not to mention the face that some, like this one, double as a pet carrier. Very handy indeed! 🙂
P.S. I DO love all my granddogs! Do you have any? We’d love to hear.
Oh me, oh my, oh Nehemiah! (I love that line from some kid's church play I once heard of. 🙂 It's been an up and down day, that's for sure. One grandchild has the flu, one granddog was angsty and UBER wiggly, my car is making odd sounds, and I got to the post office too late to mail two packages.
On the bright side, I did get the most important package mailed via the automatic machine. I DO love that thing! Granddog two stopped being angsy long enough to give me a cute photo for this post. AND I got the most delightful gift in the mail this week from Denise Brown at Caregiving – a Butterball turkey coupon. What a sweet treat! I think it was there since Thanksgiving and I just hadn't had time to get over to pick it up. See how much fun blog parties are – especially when hosted by such sweet people as Denise Brown at Caregiving. THANK YOU AGAIN, DENISE. 🙂
Speaking of blog party fun, CONGRATULATIONS to Jane for winning the SandwichINK for the Sandwich Generation Amazon gift certificate during the Caregiving Holiday Progressive Blog Party! If you haven't yet replied to my email, do so quickly and I'll pop it out to you. (And if caregiving issues are slowing you down, don't worry! I TOTALLY understand. 🙂 )
That's the great thing about blog party fun for all of us in the Sandwich Generation. We can attend at our leisure, skip it easily if caregiving issues intervene, and even wear our PJs if we like. Not to mention enjoy listening to Christmas carols the whole while. Happy Week Before Christmas. Stay Healthy. And enjoy the weather. (We're FINALLY supposed to get snow this week. So far, we've only had flurries – enough to show on my arm, but that's it! So WOO HOO to snow!) 🙂
I LOVE cute graphic T-shirts for women (and men 🙂 ) and when I spotted this one, perfect for the patriotic holidays of May, June, and July, I just HAD to get it! Sadly, there were none left in my size. But I got "one" anyway, thanks to my easy to use digital camera. 🙂
Then I put a call out to my granddogs and all but one RSVP-ed with cute photos to say HELLO on this Happy Holiday Sweet Shot Tuesday and Rednesday! (Fourth granddoggy was feeling shy – probably all the loud firecrackers that week, not to mention the heat and thunder!)
This granddog has a cute smile for all of us, doesn't he? Although, he's been feeling a bit wonky from the fireworks noise, as well.
And unlike granddog number one (the shy one not there), and number two, this sweet and uber-calm granddog is content to just lie around and ignore all those popping noises.
So from all my granddogs and me, I will say HAPPY PATRIOTIC HOLIDAYS to all of us boomers and seniors in the Sandwich Generation and have a GREAT week without too many strange sounds and over the top temperatures.
Happy New Year's Eve Week! I've had a fun couple of weeks with granddogs and grandkids and snapping lots of photos with my easy to use digital camera. Here are some cute pix of a Sandwich Generation granddog or two to put a smile on your face along with your grandkids and senior parents. 😉 Here's Mr. B with a sweetly serious, almost studious pose for us.
Mr. R was having way too much wiggle fun to be serious. You can even see a smile on his little face. He definitely put a huge smile on my baby boomer face. 🙂
Mr. B is back with a RED hat on for Rednesday and a snoozy pose to reflect his desire to take a bit of a nap.
Fun for this Sandwich Generation granny nanny and her digital camera, along with the aid of the always easy to use Picknik.com. I'm hoping you enjoyed it as well. Don't forget, it's Sweet Shot Tuesday. Enjoy! 🙂
