Bible Memory Verses Fun: Giraffes Help To Remind Us That Love is Not Rude!

by on June 16, 2010

The next in our set of Bible Memory Verses activities for all of us Sandwich Generation grandparents and their grandchildren is:

Love is - 1 Corinthians 13 - not proud - not self-seeking

Love…

It is not rude,

it is not self-seeking.1 Corinthians 13:5a (NIV)

Isn't that a fun photo and verse to share with our grandkids in this Scripture memorization project?  This granny nanny had a great time showing it off to the grandkids and enjoying their giggles! :) For more Inspirational Bible verses, words, and photos of encouragement, be sure to pop over to Internet Cafe Devotions for Word-Filled Wednesday.

What a fun and thoughtful granny you are….this picture really brings this scripture to life for the young ones….and the not so young ones, too!

:) Karen. VERY true! Now when I’m trying to remember which order the verses go, I’m finding it is really helping to remember – oh yes, the peacock was Love is not proud, the giraffe is not rude. I may have to do another series for the other parts of the verses :) :) :)

I love it. Very clever and just right to stick in adult as well as children’s minds. I feel a little better for using poor Moggie once again…LOL.

That is so cute. I like how the giraffe is sticking out its tongue, something a child would do when they are being rude. What a great way to teach them. Thanks and God bless.

nannykim June 17, 2010 at 12:27 pm

Hi thanks for your comment on my nannykim blog. Your blog look interesting. My almost 2 year old grandson and 3 year old granddaughter memorize verses each week. They use pictures, and hand signs both of which they make up. They practice at each meal. During Easter time they would get a jelly bean after supper when they said their verse. My grandson got to saying the verse with the word jellybean immediately after! They still do the jellybean, but I hope he doesn’t think it is part of the verse!! ha!

Kaye Swain June 17, 2010 at 1:03 pm

Hi NannyKim, LOL – how adorable!!! It is cute what they put together in their sweet little minds. And such a blessing to be grandparents who get to share God’s word with our grandkids! :) Have a blessed week.
