Autumn is Close! Fun Fall Decoration Ideas Always Make the Sandwich Generation Granny Nanny Smile! How About You?

Autumn is on its way - and this fall foliage loving grandmother and her grandkids cannot wait as you can see with this cute country pumpkin clipartAutumn…Fall..Whatever You Prefer, It's Getting Closer!

It's been one of "those" summers for this busy Sandwich Generation granny nanny! Tons of great family memories (and plenty of photos) with the grandkids, but also lots of hustle and bustle as we've juggled babysitting grandchildren with surgery, therapy, and doctor appointments here, there and yonder. And the weird weather has been interesting, to say the least! BUT…I have GOOD news for all my fellow autumn lovers! Fall, along with its lovely colors and cooler temperatures, is getting closer! September is right around the corner. And guess what I spotted right out front of our Walmart! 🙂

The Sandwich Generation Granny Nanny is thrilled with the early signs of autumn - love these fall scarecrows

Autumn Puts A Smile of the Face of The Sandwich Generation Granny Nanny

Aren't these harvest scarecrows cute? I love to use scarecrows as yard decorations, house decor ideas, and even cute blog decor. Making them is a favorite activity for both grandkids and grandmother! These two are definitely putting a HUGE smile on the face of this autumn loving baby boomer grandma and all her grandkids. How about you and yours?

And for more fun smiles, check out Sweet Shot Tuesday for lots of great photos along with fun ideas with your own easy to use digital camera – especially with her 31 days of photo tips starting in just two days! AND don't forget those red-i-licious smiles for Rednesday. I wonder if they'll have some country Autumn reds also? I can't wait to see. Enjoy 🙂

Kim C.

I’m soooo ready!

Yes, they are adorable! I”ve missed you. Hope you are doing well.

Blessings to you♥

The scarecrows are much too cute–nothing would ever run from them, no way!

I am feeling red today—
Better that than blue, they say.

Red is such a cheery shade,
Sweetest color ever made,

Brightens everything you do—
Better red, they say, than blue!

I hope autumn hurry’s to Texas. This heat is killing everything.

Thanks Susan, I am. Have been caring for elderly relative with surgery so kept me extra busy. 🙂 But things are easing up a bit more now. YAY 🙂

this reminds me, I need to dig out my scarecrows soon!

Oh yes! Deb. But our early autumn disappared when we went back to 100+!!!! BUT!!! tomorrow it is SUPPOSED to drop 30 degrees (we are into drama with temps this year – big time 🙂 ). So hoping our early fall is back to stay this time 🙂 And for you as well 🙂 🙂 🙂

Very cute Teacher – thank you so much for a sweet poem for all of us grandparents and grandkids. 🙂 Have a lovely weekend!

I do love Fall, too! It’s my favorite time to garden, because I move plants around like crazy (beats moving furniture)!

Fall is my favorite time of year ! 🙂

Too true, Sue! 🙂 Plus the autumn weather is SO nice – and my grandchildren and I LOVE the swirling fall leaves – our autumn ballet 🙂

YAY Myrna – LOVE to find autumn lovers to join my grandkids and me in enjoying the autumn and fall ballet 🙂 🙂 🙂

I have the same one too. I only have a boy that’s tall like these!
I think I’m gonna get a girl. It was bigger then I thought! Thx for reminding me about them!
